Can I have more information on your VHS to DVD conversion process?

Answer

  • We treat this process like a tech 1-on-1 and you have to fill out a form and set up a meeting with Keith or Tim
  • We do not charge for this service
  • The VHS must be a home movie, or something that's not available for purchase elsewhere.  (We will search for any titles to avoid any type of copyright gray areas)
  • Our software digitizes the movie as it plays, so the process involves playing the video in its entirety plus the time to burn or save.  For longer videos Staff will help start and end the digitization process, and with the DVD burning or saving, but won't necessarily be in the room the whole time.  Patrons, likewise, should probably plan to be here for the duration of the process, but don't necessarily have to be in the Reference Office the whole time
  • Patron must bring the DVD they'd like the movie burn onto or a flash drive to save the digitized video to
